02The game
How it plays, and where it fits.
The game
- What the player does
- A cartoon bomb’s LED counter climbs with a shared multiplier. Each player cuts their wire to cash out at the number on the counter, by hand or at an auto target; when the bomb goes off, any bet still in is lost.
- Why players come back
- Cutting a wire is a cash-out anyone understands at a glance, so rounds are easy to follow on a stream. The tick speeds up with the multiplier, not the risk, and the rules say so.
- Round structure
- Shared timed round. 7 s to bet, then the multiplier climbs until the round ends; each player cashes out by hand or at an auto target before it does.
- Session fit
- Quick or long sessions. Social: the whole room plays the same round. Timed rounds.
- Stakes in this build
- 1 to 100 demo credits. Whole credits, 1 to 100 per bet, up to two bets per round.

Crash odds
One shared round for the whole room. The multiplier climbs as e0.12t (2× at 5.8 s, 10× at 19.2 s, 100× at 38.4 s) and the round ends at its crash point, fixed before betting opens. A cash-out at any target k pays k times the stake with probability RTP / k, so every target, manual or automatic, returns the room’s RTP to within 2.3 × 10−12. The chance the round ends in the next second is 11.3% at every height: nothing about the climb predicts the end.
| Room RTP | Ends at 1.00× | Reaches 2.00× | Reaches 10.00× | Reaches 100.00× | Reaches 1,000× | Reaches 10,000× |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 96% | 4% | 48.0% | 9.6% | 0.960% | 0.0960% | 0.0096% |
| 97% default | 3% | 48.5% | 9.7% | 0.970% | 0.0970% | 0.0097% |
| 98% | 2% | 49.0% | 9.8% | 0.980% | 0.0980% | 0.0098% |
The house edge comes only from rounds that end at 1.00× before anyone can cash out (3% at the default 97%). A round that reaches the 10,000× cap pays the cap on every bet still in; 1,000× and 5,000× caps are built too and leave the RTP unchanged. Auto cash-out targets run from 1.01× to the cap and pay exactly their target. RTP and cap are per room, so every player in a round sees the same result; this build runs Snip, Topple, Crash and Updraft in one room. In a 10 billion round simulation at 97%, all 21 strategies tested, including two bets, half cash-outs and doubling after a loss, had a 95% interval containing 97%.
Pace
18.6 s a round, about 194 rounds an hour (range 10.5 s to 88.8 s). Server round clock: 7 s betting, the climb (expected 8.1 s from the exact crash distribution; 0 s for an instant end, 76.8 s to the cap), then 3.5 s with the result (5 s after the cap).
GGR / 1,000 rounds is the theoretical gross gaming revenue from 1,000 rounds at a total stake of 1.00: house edge × 1,000. Volatility is the standard deviation of one round’s total return per 1.00 of total stake. Low under 1.5, Medium 1.5 to under 5, High 5 to under 15, Very high 15 and over. For scale: an even-money roulette bet is 1.00, a straight-up number 5.84.

- RTP: 97% (default), 96% and 98% are built. RTP is set per room, not per player, because everyone in a round sees the same crash point; Topple, Snip, Crash and Updraft share one room. The 10,000x top multiplier can be 1,000x or 5,000x instead; no cap changes the RTP.
Demo-credit build, not certified. Rounds are dealt on the Baize server. See status for what real-money use needs.
