02The game
How it plays, and where it fits.
The game
- What the player does
- Six reels and five rows of a music-hall magic act pay for 8 or more of a symbol anywhere. Wins tumble, and Fennimore the magician throws trick cards onto the stage face down. When the tumbles stop he reveals them, their values add up and the win is multiplied. Four top hats start free spins, where every revealed card joins an Ovation that never goes down.
- Why players come back
- The magician performs the feature: a flourish at his hat before a card lands, a reveal when the tumbles stop, and an Ovation that only rises in free spins. Features arrive about once in 422 spins and 5,000x is reached about once in 2.2 million spins.
- Round structure
- Spin with tumbles and a feature. One press spins; tumbles, the reveal and any free spins play out on their own and the round settles once.
- Session fit
- Medium to long sessions. Single player. Good to watch: built for streams.
- Stakes in this build
- 0.20 to 100 demo credits. 0.20 to 100.00 per spin on a fixed bet ladder; the bonus buy costs 99 times the bet.

RTP variants
Three builds of the same game: the reels, tumbles, trick cards and feature are identical; only pay values change. Each has its own PAR sheet (CSV and JSON) with reel strips, symbol counts, every pay cell’s frequency and contribution, the win distribution and the simulation record.
| Variant | RTP | Base / free spins | Bonus buy | Hit rate | SD | Free spins | Max win |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 96% default | 96.03% ± 0.10 | 73.5% / 22.5% | 99× → 96.09% | 32.2% | 16.14 | 1 in 422 | 1 in 2.2M |

Free spins by award
| Top hats | Spins | Average feature win | SD | Retrigger rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4 or more | 15 | 95.13× | 269.3 | 29.51% |
How the numbers were made: the base game alone over 400,000,000 spins plus each free-spins award alone over 20,000,000 features (95% interval 95.93% to 96.13%), confirmed by 1,000,000,000 straight spins at 95.84%. The first-drop odds of 4 or more Top hats are also computed exactly over every stop combination (1 in 768, before tumbles). Wins are whole cents at every bet on the ladder (pays are multiples of 0.05x and bets of 0.20), the max win of 5,000x ends a round, and the outcome engine is a pure function of a 32-bit random stream, ready for the Baize RGS.
Pace
1.6 s a round, about 2,236 rounds an hour. Measured in Chrome with every control pressed as soon as it was enabled, so this is a ceiling with no thinking time.
GGR / 1,000 rounds is the theoretical gross gaming revenue from 1,000 rounds at a total stake of 1.00: house edge × 1,000. Volatility is the standard deviation of one round’s total return per 1.00 of total stake. Low under 1.5, Medium 1.5 to under 5, High 5 to under 15, Very high 15 and over. For scale: an even-money roulette bet is 1.00, a straight-up number 5.84.
